Kaufland – Puși pe Combinații
The challange
This project began with a challenging mood board that couldn’t fit the budget or the timing. However, it had an essence, and we chose to exploit it with the agency instead of backing down. The agency wanted to create a space that intentionally felt staged.
Our answer
Instead of replicating theatre productions, as the mood board suggested, we obtained the staged setup feel by letting the viewer see our own commercial setup, a bit cosmeticized to make it ownable and set the right mood. These were not just a series of commercials but a comedy series with a topic, a red wire that connected the episodes and different characters. Instead of going for the classic director, we asked a team used to writing and directing TV series to help. We chose the right actors and inserted the right amount of coolness to make the fun shareable.
